The Stoddard Building Group designs and builds high-quality outdoor living spaces for homeowners in Colorado Springs, Monument, Black Forest and Peyton. Decks, pergolas, and the covered spaces that make a Colorado backyard usable nine months of the year.
We are a small crew by choice. Collin is on every job. And because we replace a lot of other people’s work, we build to the part most people never see — the frame.

The part you never see
Most builder-grade decks are fastened to the house by screwing the ledger board directly to the outside of the siding. That creates a pocket for moisture to sit against your home.

We open the siding, flash the ledger properly, and detail stucco and lap siding differently because they fail differently. Then every joist top gets wrapped in adhesive tape before a single board goes down.
